With no front entry for this rural residence, visitors to the home were confused on how to enter. Dense plantings were removed and replaced by a gravel parking area and a generous walkway that meanders through a new front yard garden.

Erosion had taken its toll on this back yard. Extension of an existing retaining wall, installation of a patio, and selective removal of a low deck railing created an inviting area for entertainment and relaxation.

Located on the Rappahannock River, this newly expanded home was enhanced with a generous entry motor court defined by fences and stone walls. A new dock, retaining walls, and plantings enhance the water side while a pool terrace adds fresh-water fun. Lighting enhances the night-time mood while new a new drainage system keeps summer thunderstorms at bay.

A newly built house was enhanced with a generous and beautiful entry for visitors. A matching retaining wall defines a lower parking pad and upper entry garden. A steep back hillside was planted with low maintenance groundcovers. Paths lead to the adjoining fairway. The back raised patio was redesigned to eliminate rails in order to capitalize on fantastic views.
